Elon Musk Attacks Lawmaker Ro Khanna as ‘Robber’ in Heated Exchange

Elon Musk on Friday referred to U.S. Representative Ro Khanna as a ‘Robber’ in a brief but pointed social media post, signaling a deepening rift between the tech billionaire and the California Democrat. The comment, posted without additional context, appears to be a reaction to Khanna’s recent criticisms of Musk’s business practices and political alignments. Khanna, who represents Silicon Valley, has been vocal about antitrust concerns and labor issues, often targeting major tech figures including Musk.

The remark is notable for its personal nature, as Musk typically reserves such colorful language for corporate rivals or media figures. Analysts suggest the exchange could further polarize Musk’s relationship with influential policymakers, potentially affecting regulatory discussions around Tesla’s autonomous driving ambitions or SpaceX’s government contracts. The incident also highlights the increasingly combative tone Musk adopts when facing political scrutiny, a stance that some investors worry could distract from his companies’ operational goals.
